I do have one concern in that the fees for those services are extremely high...
This emergency room for pets has wonderful veterinarians that treat your pets so well. Their prices are reasonable and the care is great. Couldn't ask for better.
I took my dog in for extreme facial swelling. At first the vet didn’t take us seriously, until we got blood work done and then she was pretty worried. She thought it could be cancerous or a foreign body in her neck. Turns out it was an abscess! I’m very thankful for them helping my girl. I do think it’s very over priced though. But if I had a serious emergency I would come here again.
I appreciate the availability of an emergency care center for our fur babies...they are indeed loved members of our families and we want them to have professional care if an emergency arises....No Doubt..
I don't know who owns the clinic....or who sets the cost for the services rendered
Just want to give anyone with an emergency who takes their pet there...a heads up on their costs so they won't have a Heart Attack like I almost did....
I truly appreciate that this clinic is available and the Vet and Staff helped my Fur Baby....but was alarmed by the high cost.
Over the past few years we’ve had several unfortunate midnight trips to the 24 hour Carolina vet specialists, however last night was sadly our final visit.
We went in late last night knowing our beloved Dolly was in her final stages and we were torn as she was our first dog to ever pass away. However, the empty veterinary office had neither time nor compassion to assist us. Dr. Alcain had absolutely no bedside manner and was extremely rude to us in a time of sadness and vulnerability. We were continually asked if we were done saying goodbye to our pet 5 minutes after we started saying goodbye as if we were in a busy restaurant (but we were saying goodbye to our 12 family member).
The Staff and Vets are wonderful people with great skills and people that are there for you and your precious pet when all other veterinary clinics are closed.
In a tragic moment, I cannot express and say enough kind words for the compassion and care that was given to us and our pet.
F.Y.I. A Senior Discount would have been really nice..
I am saddened to say that only one employee showed some form of empathy. Desk staff and doctors refused to repeat information, saying “well I already told them” in the context of difficult medical terminology.
And it is NOT that I am a cheap scape....but just expect to pay a fee of $104.00 to walk in the door....and if your pet has an overnight stay to monitor them....with an I.V. you can expect to pay $450.00 to $550.00 before you can leave with your pet.
I am confident to say that we will never visit again as it is more humane to let your pets pass away at home than at the Carolina veterinary specialists.
