I've been to Tuffy's with various vehicles over the years for all kinds of different work, and have always been pleased with the price and quality of workmanship. However....
Labor for turning rotors and installing disc pads on all (4) wheels was $360?!?! (Yes, that's all that was done...)
A lot of "shops" would have charged me a fee or simply charged me for the alignment without actually doing it, but not Tuffy; they only charged me for the rotation and saved me at least $100.
Parts listed on the invoice are standard NAPA part #'s. Tuffy's added a 100% markup to NAPA's price.
If I had the time, I could have done the entire job myself for around $100 - $120. And come to find out, the Chevy Dealer would have done the job for over $150 less than Tuffy's, and used better parts....
I just had a 4-wheel Disc Break job done on a 2010 Chevy Malibu, and although the workmanship seems fine, the price was not. Not at all.
Tuffy's got me for almost $600.
First thing I will say is, THANK YOU. Its hard to find good service that is trustworthy. I brought my old Dodge in for an alignment because I am experiencing some tire wear on my steering tires. The technician hooked my truck up to the machine and determined that I didn't need an alignment. He performed some other health checks and found nothing. He did rotate my tires and adjust my air pressure. Needless to say, the old Dodge is steering better and hopefully this will save my tires.
Also, I would like to say the location is perfect for a lunch break visit. I went at lunch time and while they were working on my truck, my son and I walked 2 minutes across the street to have lunch. By the time we were done, my truck was waiting on me; SUPER FAST SERVICE!
Super friendly staff, got my exhaust fixed in under an hour without an appointment. Would definitely come here again.
Over a decade of repeat business has come to an end. This was a rip-off. Never again Tuffy's.
Great service and prices! Had some exhaust work, air condition work, suspension work, coolant system work, and other maintenance and everything worked out great! My Truck exhaust sounds better than ever before! Great service and even my Uber driver told me he always takes his car here. I am a car guy and try to do all my maintenance myself, but when it is beyond my capabilities, I will always come back to Graham, Alan, and his team that I trust at Tuffy's!
1 hr, 15 minutes for an oil change and tire rotation! I made an appt for an oil change and tire rotation, was 10 minutes late but only one car being worked on in the bays. I was told that was a normal time for this service. Tuffy in Mooresville does this service with no appt in 40 minutes max, usually less time. I will not be back
