Some of the other reviewers said he takes a long time but I disagree with them in regards to my repairs. His shop replaced head gaskets on one of my vehicles and it took about a week. Not bad considering the scope of work. You can't expect a small shop to drop what their doing to fix your car immediately. The fact that he is honest and will only repair what is needed, and not to mention that he will save you a lot of money, is well worth the time. I had a repaid done from the factory on a warranty transmission and the dealer had my car for close to a month!
Jimmy is a awesome person. Very reliable and trustworthy. Sometimes takes longer for your vehicle to be fixed but he makes sure it's totally fixed and if more problems occur then he will let.you know. Great place and will continue to go to him.
Fantastic mechanic and easy to work with. Honest and upfront about both the issues on your vehicle, and his ability to fix them.
He is honest and knows his way around almost any car. If he can't fix it he will let you know and recommend someone else. Also very good with older cars.
I have had a variety of work performed by Jimmy on different cars. He saved me quite a significant amount of money compared to the dealers. The dealer told me that to make a repair on an ignition switch was going to cost over $500.00 and Jimmy had it done within 2 days and it cost me $180.00!! He could have easily charged me more. I am very cautious about the work done on my cars and I totally trust Jimmy and his ability to fix it correctly. He will stand behind his work and is very honest. Something you don't often in the automotive repair industry.
I honestly don't know why anyone would give Jimmy anything less than an Excellent rating. He's a rare gem: an honest mechanic that does excellent work. I have an older car and mechanics love it when I take it in because there's always a lot of work that "has" to be done. Jimmy tells me what needs done according to a prioritized list. I ask him to recommend repairs based on what is a safety issue, what is a mechanical issue, and what is a maintenance issue, respectively. He honors my request and gives solid advice. I recently got new tires and they told me I had to get it not only aligned, but get the wheel bearings repacked (a job that would cost me well over $800). I took the car straight to Jimmy and asked him what he thought. He recommended an alignment after inspecting the wheel bearings. He didn't even do alignments at the time so there was no financial benefit from giving me this information. He's just a good, honest person and he extends that to his business. I have a dozen examples like this where Jimmy could've taken me for a chump and made some serious money, but he will not do that. Now one thing you need to know: he doesn't have a customer waiting lounge so you will need to arrange for someone to pick you up once you have dropped off your car. I've never had to wait more than a day or two for repairs to be completed, but I guess it depends on what your car needs and if he can get the replacement part in that day. Definitely call and make an appointment. You will not find a more honest, hard-working person than Jimmy. I know it's hard to make a judgement call based on what other people on the internet say, but you will be doing yourself a huge favor if you take your business to Jimmy.
